Whether dreaming of our own death, or the death of a friend or loved one, dreams of death and dying can leave us a bit shaken. We may wonder if the dream was an omen, and worry for the welfare of the one we dreamed of.
Most often, however, dreaming of death is a message that great transformation is about to touch our lives.
What would a dreamer say about the symbolism of the popular holiday carol, “The Twelve Days of Christmas?”
On the first day of Christmas my True Love gave to me:
True Love represents that aspect of ourselves that never buys into the dramas, lies, or outdated belief systems that we love to carry around with us. True Love towards ourselves is understanding, compassion and acceptance.
A Partridge in a Pear Tree
The pear is symbolic of hope, balance and love. The Partridge symbolizes fertility, and reminds us that it takes intent to walk a spiritual path. We can just as easily fall into patterns of addiction and destruction as we can walk a path of truth and light.
Two Turtle Doves
Doves represent peace and harmony. Two of them represent a harmonious relationship.
Alligators and crocodiles are comfortable on land and in water. They are fierce, carnivorous, and move with speed and stealth. They possess great power and reach a formidable size. Their jaws are so powerful they can eat their prey in one bone-crushing bite.
When dreaming of alligators or crocodiles, it’s important to keep in mind that they are water creatures as well as land creatures.
Cats are known for their grace. They are nocturnal, and are patient, skillful, hunters.
And depending on your personal point of view, they most likely fall into one of two categories: Favored by the gods or evil consorts of the devil.
There are few creatures whose very presence can evoke a shudder of fear. In fact, even the most harmless of snakes can send chills down the spine, and send a grown man running for safety, screaming like a little girl.
And with good cause; many snakes are deadly. They are wriggly, odd, unpredictable, creatures. Even when they are non-poisonous, snakes are mysterious, and remind us that there is a world out there that to us is vastly unknown. Continue reading »

Angels are known as messengers of the Divine. Archangel Gabriel gave the message to Mary about the birth of Christ, and recited the Qur’an to the Prophet Muhammad. An angel appeared to St. John the Divine, in the Essene Book of Revelation, with a prophecy about heaven on earth.
Angels don’t appear for the small stuff. When they come, it’s for something big, so to dream about angels means they have a rather important message. And whether you see angels as symbolic representations of higher consciousness, or spiritual beings of light, their appearance in a dream can be life changing.
Though few people rarely want to admit it, the truth is that most of us, at one time or another have had a dream of going to the bathroom, and wondered what it meant?
An abortion is a purposeful ending of a pregnancy. And though a woman may make the choice to have an abortion, it’s generally a difficult decision surrounded by mixed emotions of relief and loss that may be followed later by guilt or regret.
If you are pregnant, miscarriage dreams can be very frightening, and you may even worry that it is a bad omen. Even if you are not pregnant, a miscarriage dream can be very upsetting.
Dreaming that you are pregnant most often indicates new ideas or love, creative endeavors, hope, excitement and joy. Miscarriage dreams, however, represent the very opposite; despair, loss of hope or losing something cherished.
In dreams he may appear as the tender lover, the wise teacher, a knight in shining armor, a liar, attacker, or thief in the night. Within the Animus is woman’s strength and creativity, along with her capacity to be destructive and sadistic.
The Animus is “the male personification of the unconscious in woman.” ~ Man and His Symbols ~ Carl Jung
The Animus is the collective energy of everything women have ever experienced with men throughout time; the father, lover, brother, hero, betrayer, thief, sexist and abuser.
