Self Acceptance and Belonging

I used to have a really hard time accepting myself. I thought my gifts and talents were just wishful thinking, and I was embarrassed to actually own up to those things I was just naturally good at for fear someone would see me for the miserable failure that I was. I never felt authentic because I was constantly trying to be better, and more acceptable.
That may sound harsh, but it was how I felt, once upon a time.
When we lack awareness of our Infinite Self, we are highly likely to be affected by how others perceive us, which puts us in the position of wanting to be accepted. This, of course, leads to in-authenticity as we try to be that perfectly acceptable person for every person we meet.
Accepting we are infinite beings in a body is a powerful step toward self-acceptance. And, self-acceptance is the key to expressing the brightest version of ourselves, because it’s acknowledging we are more than a body – we are a soul using a body as the vehicle for this experience of humanity.
When we can
accept our divine nature, we can accept the gifts we came here with, and allow ourselves to express them in an authentic way.
Authenticity leads to belonging, because it’s the light of one soul reaching out to another in perfect trust.
